Clearstream’s sec lending rises five percent

For Global Securities Financing (GSF) services, the monthly average outstanding at Clearstream in May 2012 reached €579.2 billion. The combined services, which include triparty repo, securities lending and collateral management, collectively experienced a rise of five percent over May 2011 (€552.7 billion).

3.4 million international settlement transactions were also processed in the month, a four percent increase year-on-year. Of all international transactions, 82 percent were OTC transactions, and 18 percent were registered as stock exchange transactions.
