OneChicago sees decrease in trading volume for February

OneChicago cleared 778,554 transactions for January 2018, a decrease of nine percent year-over-year.

The downturn differs from last month, when the exchange saw a significant increase in cleared securities lending activity. In January OneChicago cleared 889,659 transactions for the month, an increase of 14 percent year-over-year.

However, for December last year, OneChicago saw a decrease in transactions, with a 25 percent drop off in trading volumes.

In November, the securities finance exchange saw 866,510 trades for the month — a volume drop of 6 percent year-on-year.
