DTCC opens Dublin office

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has opened its new office in Dublin, Ireland.
On 1 March, the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) registered DTCC Data Repository (Ireland) as a trade repository, under the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR).
The registration comes in response to a possible no-deal Brexit.
Mark Wetjen, managing director, head of global public policy, DTCC and chairman of the board, DTCC Deriv/SERV, said: 鈥淵esterday, DTCC extended its presence in Europe by officially opening a new office in Dublin, ahead of the UK鈥檚 expected withdrawal from the EU.鈥�
He added: 鈥淚鈥檇 like to express DTCC鈥檚 thanks to the Irish Government and IDA Ireland for their support, and to say that our team looks forward to working with the local business community.鈥�
