Industrial and Commercial Bank of China is to buy the US broker-dealer operations of Fortis Bank.

Fortis Securities currently has around 75 customers and will be sold for a token one dollar. Its current owner, BNP Paribas, took control when it acquired Fortis Bank in 2009, even though it already has its own operations in the country.
