The asset management firm AMP Capital has appointed Kate Campbell as institutional director of Europe, to be based at the firm鈥檚 London office.
Campbell will work alongside Louisa Yeoman, the institutional director of UK, to develop AMP Capital鈥檚 European institutional client business. She will report to AMP Capital managing director of Europe, Middle East and Africa, Richard Shields.
Shields said: 鈥淚鈥檓 pleased to announce Kate鈥檚 appointment at an exciting time for AMP Capital given the recent launch of our UCITS platform for global listed infrastructure and global listed real estate. Kate鈥檚 efforts will be focused on fundraising for this new platform and for AMP Capital鈥檚 unlisted infrastructure business where we already have a range of well-established equity and debt funds. She will work with clients such as pension funds, insurers, private banks and multi managers."
鈥淜ate has extensive experience working with clients in Europe and a deep knowledge of the local market, which will be critical as we take our growing capabilities to a new group of potential investors.鈥
Campbell joins AMP Capital from J.P. Morgan where she was executive director of capital introduction in the prime brokerage area.
While at J.P. Morgan, Campbell worked with more than 300 global hedge funds assisting them with their marketing strategies. Ms Campbell has held previous roles at Deutsche Bank, Equity Capital Markets and Goldman Sachs.
Earlier this month, AMP Capital announced the launch of a Luxembourg-domiciled UCITS platform, which offers UCITS versions of its global listed infrastructure fund and global real estate securities fund to institutional investors in the UK, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
